33rd season playing for Stags. Currently Club Secretary. Previously captain of the 2nd XI, 3rd XI and 4A XI and Mens Club.

Current additional duties are: Club Archivist, Press Secretary, Photographer, Chief Ranter etc

If I'm not at the hockey pitch, I'll be walking the dog*, or I might be watching birds in some far flung outpost with Wilco as the theme music. Or (more likely) I'll be in the Nascot Arms talking C**p

*Rogue, the dog, is especially good at finding balls; between the end of the 2008-09 season and the start of the current one she has found over 40 in the undegrowth around the astro. She is for hire to other clubs who wish to recoup all their lost balls

Jackie has become the West Herts Model of the new Hoody. She was frightened if the jumper looked too big for her small tits! She spends all of her wages on hair dye, but does not fool the team. She is trying to convert the whole back line that ginger is the new brown, but only convincing Gill so far. Has bladder control issues.

To try and get past her on a hockey pitch is nigh on impossible, to beat her at articulate is a task none of us will ever attempt again, to out ring her at church bell ringing? Not something I would try to do! Her weakness? Well from video evidence she can't dance for toffee…but then none of us apparently can!

Rachel is like one of her famous Victoria sponges, hard on the outside, soft on the inside. Opposition players, supporters and umpires mess with her on the hockey pitch at your peril! Rachel’s pre- match preparation ritual is moisturise, moisturise, moisturise and it doesn’t matter if you carry on during the team talk! Rachel does like to keep herself busy which generally leads to her being known as ‘chief faff’ but she does it all with such enthusiasm we tend to let her off! There is only one event bigger than the Olympics in 2012 when Rach becomes a RAT!

In my youth played for the 2's, then 3's then captained the 4's for 4 seasons, then in the 5's / 6's captaining again for at least 3 seasons. Now looking for a rest from the Saturday routine. Been at the club 28 years. Been running junior Hockey for 8 years, so need a younger replacement who can organise as my memory fades.

Joined in 1985 straight from uni and stayed ever since apart from 3-year adjournment to Manchester. 1st XI player for about 10 years in 2 stints including the 'golden age' of the HA Trophy wins. Formerly Club Captain, Summer Captain, Fixture Secretary and now Treasurer since 2001. Mainly a pool umpire, but occasional games for Vets and 6ths.

Graduate from the club's youth scheme, having started playing aged 6. Now in my second season back at the club after University, and captaining the mighty 5's for the 2011-12 season.
